Christmas Cinema: 8 Women (15)

Dec 14, 2017

With a cast list that includes many of France’s finest female acting talents, this is a delicious Christmas trifle of a film. Just trying to describe it is a pleasure – it’s a knowingly camp, musical black-comedy whodunit, set in a snow-bound chateau at Christmas. The eight women of the title are the family, friends and employees of the only man in the film, and he’s been murdered, stabbed in the back.

This delightful film from the brilliant French director Francois Ozon is a primary-coloured, Agatha Christie inspired murder mystery, that tips a wink at the audience throughout. Come along for the ride!

This screening is part of Snowcat Cinema’s Christmas line-up at the Penarth Pier Pavilion. Featuring a delicious mixture of family favourites, Christmas classics and some left-field, cult movies, there’s something for everyone!

Doors open at 7pm for 7:30 start.

Tickets are £6.50 for adults and £3.50 for children.
