Voluntary Gallery Assistants

Aug 09, 2016

As part of our current exhibition: Edgeland by Geraint Evans, we are looking for voluntary Gallery Assistants to help with the day to day running of the gallery and talking to all of our inquisitive guests, as an intermediary between the artwork and the audience, which is a vital part of our community-oriented organisation.

In contributing your valuable time you are joining our team and helping us achieve far more than we could without you. We hope you’ll also gain insight and experience into how a gallery works and become part of the close-knit community at Penarth Pier Pavilion, not to mention you’ll be able to enjoy some of the best views in South Wales! Some of the areas you can gain experience in include:
• Exhibition installation and de-installation • Exhibition invigilation and front of house skills • Assisting at events

We are a friendly and approachable organisation that runs on the kindness of people like you. If there’s anything we can assist with, just let us know! When you start volunteering with us you will receive a full introduction to our organisation as well as training in the task you’ll be undertaking. As well as this you will have the chance to find out more about what we do behind the scenes!
